What started out as a big failure for a painting, ended up being the best mistake I’ve ever made. This scrapped vinyl stencil was going to end up in the trash, but right before OPUS 2021 I decided to hang and drape the pieces on the studio wall, I entered it in, and it ended up winning best in show. This then was a last-minute addition to my BFA thesis show in the Seerveld Gallery.
